General InformationBondurant Christian Church has been an anchor of the town of Bondurant since before the formation of the town of Bondurant. The history of church begins in March of 1885, nearly 13 years prior to the incoporation of the town.
Mission StatementIt is the mission of the Bondurant Christian Church, under the Lordship of Jesus the Christ, and as witness of the whole church, to be dedicated to the worship of God, the proclamation of the gospel, the nurturing of spritiual growth, Christian service within the community, and a witness of the love of Christ in the world.
Bondurant Christian Church is a member church of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The dual name of the church is reflection of the church's beginnings. Born from a merger of the Churches of Christ and the independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. The Disciples celebrate their oneness with all who seek God through Jesus Christ, throughout time and regardless of location. That oneness is symbolized in the open invitation to communion for all who have professed faith in Christ without regard to church affiliation. |
